Apple Responds to iPod nano Problems

Om Malik has an interesting take on the Apple iPod nano problems that have surfaced, saying that Bill Gates must be getting a big laugh out of this.  Here's a response coming from Apple regarding complaints about scratched or broken screens on their iPod nano.

“This is a real but minor issue involving a vendor quality problem in a small number of units,” said Schiller. “In fact, this issue has affected less than 1/10 of 1 percent of the total iPod nano units that we’ve shipped. It is not a design issue.”

If this is the case, let's see how fast Apple can rectify the ipod nano problems.

Belkin Ipod nano Cases Introduced

Belkin has announced that some of their existing line of iPod accessories are compatible with the iPod nano and are available in both black and white colors, such as the TuneCast™ II and Auto Kit for iPod. Other new and to-be-announced accessories for iPod nano will be available starting October 2005.

Belkin announced a variety of new ipod cases for the iPod nano. Addressing the various needs of the iPod user, three form-fitting, leather-case designs are available.

Apple iPod Nano MP3 player Release in South Korea

The Korea Times reports that the Apple iPod nano MP3 player is scheduled to be released in South Korea this Thursday.  For once, South Koreans were not the first to be able to buy a cool new gadget, since the ipod nano has already been released in the U.S., Europe, and other markets.

The iPod nano is available immediately in a 4-gigabyte model priced at just 290,000 won and a 2-gigabyte model priced at 230,000 won. Prices include the value added tax (VAT), with both models available in stunning white or black designs.
