Respected business news outfit BusinessWeek has a review of iPod nano on Business Week Online. In fact they give the Apple ipod nano music player 4 out of 5 stars in the ipod nano review. All together, this is a well done article that might convince you, or not, to buy an iPod Nano.

Madonna Ipod nano from Apple

There's talk going around that Apple will be introducing a new special pink-colored Madonna iPod nano player next week.  Madonna made a video appearance at the Motorola ROKR E1 itunes music phone and  iPod nano release announcement with Steve Jobs recently, so a Madonna iPod nano branded mp3 music player is possible. We'll let you know when it's a done deal.

Apple Responds to iPod nano Problems

Om Malik has an interesting take on the Apple iPod nano problems that have surfaced, saying that Bill Gates must be getting a big laugh out of this.  Here's a response coming from Apple regarding complaints about scratched or broken screens on their iPod nano.

“This is a real but minor issue involving a vendor quality problem in a small number of units,” said Schiller. “In fact, this issue has affected less than 1/10 of 1 percent of the total iPod nano units that we’ve shipped. It is not a design issue.”

If this is the case, let's see how fast Apple can rectify the ipod nano problems.

iPod nano Scratched?

Unfortunately, there have been lots of complaints from Apple iPod nano owners saying that their nano players scratch easily. There's a lively discussion going on about what Apple should do about the problem, with many iPod nano owners threatening to return the device.

There's no doubt that the ipod nano is a sleek and beautifully designed music player, so the question is:  Who will come up with a solution to the scratch problem?  Apple, or one of the many iPod nano accessory companies?  Maybe new skins, tubes, or cover design concepts are needed.

We'll keep an eye on developments.

Belkin Ipod nano Cases Introduced

Belkin has announced that some of their existing line of iPod accessories are compatible with the iPod nano and are available in both black and white colors, such as the TuneCast™ II and Auto Kit for iPod. Other new and to-be-announced accessories for iPod nano will be available starting October 2005.

Belkin announced a variety of new ipod cases for the iPod nano. Addressing the various needs of the iPod user, three form-fitting, leather-case designs are available.
