Gateway recently introduced its new tiny small form factor SX Series and compact DX Series mini-tower computer line, along with FHD Series monitors featuring a new edge-to-edge glass design. Available now for back to school shoppers, these space-saving Gateway desktops include a “digital photo frame” button which delivers a slide show of photos in one touch, and a “device deck” area on top of the chassis to set a camera, MP3 player or camcorder while connecting to USB ports and downloading media. Gateway also made sure that the front access digital media card reader can be tilted upward, so it can be easily seen and accessed if the chassis is placed under a desk.

Headed for the great outdoors this summer? You might want to take Garmin's new Dakota 10 or Dakota 20 handheld GPS navigator with you. These lightweight, rugged and waterproof devices have a high-sensitivity GPS receiver, worldwide basemap and 2.6-inch color touchscreen display, and they offer up to 20 hours of battery life on two AA batteries.
The Dakota 10 and Dakota 20 are both ready for outdoor adventure with 850 MB of internal memory which can store up to 1,000 waypoints, 50 routes, 2,000 geocaches and an active tracklog of up to 10,000 points and 200 saved tracks. But only the Dakota 20 features a 3-axis compass, barometric altimeter, and a microSD card slot for increased mapping and memory storage. Garmin says that these devices will quickly acquire and maintain satellite reception, even in heavy tree cover or deep canyons thanks to a high-sensitivity GPS receiver with HotFix, which automatically calculates and stores satellite information.
The Garmin Dakota 10 and Dakota 20 are expected in the 3rd quarter and will cost you $299.99 for the Dakota 10 and $349.99 for the 20.

HP announced its back to school desktop PC line-up, including redesigned HP Slimline, HP Pavilion, HP Elite and Compaq Presario computers, along with the updated HP
TouchSmart PC software suite. HP is offering the 20-inch HP 2009m monitor ($119)
and 21.5-inch HP
2159m monitor ($239) and a matching keyboard and mouse with the new PC line-up as well.
Styled-up in a glossy piano-black finish with silver accents and touches of chrome, the new HP desktop PCs include the HP MediaSmart software suite for multimedia and entertainment.

The Optio W80 is waterproof, dustproof, coldproof, shockproof, and it has a Super Protect coating applied to the mineral crystal cover of the internal zoom lens which helps repel water, grime and finger marks. The camera withstands depths of up to 16 feet of water, and you can shoot underwater photos and video for up to two hours. LG Electronics has unveiled two new ultra-slim 55-inch full LED LCD TVs in Seoul, Korea. The new
55LH95 and 55LH93 models are said to offer a brighter and clearer screen than
competing products thanks to backlighting that employs a total of 3,360
LEDs, which is seven times more than existing edge-lit LED TVs. A few of the picture enhancing technologies packed into the LG full LED
LCD's 24.8mm. thin chassis are 5,000,000:1 contrast ratio, and 240 Hz refresh rate, but perhaps most interesting is an enhanced wireless feature which can deliver content from DVD players,
game consoles or home-theater units wirelessly without any degradation.
