3g Mobile-Wallet Phones released! ...in Japan

3g_mobile_wallet_phones_4

These elegant looking mobile phones may replace the wallet in your pocket, if you live in Japan that is. The new NTT DoCoMo FOMA 901i series have a list of features, some new to mobile phones.  The FeliCa function enables the 901i to serve as a digital mobile wallet.  Download funds into it and you're ready to spend by swiping the phone over a FeliCa reader in a store, movie theater, or anywhere else the readers are located. The four-way videoconferencing feature is definitely cool, and the smart-card equipped phones can also serve as controllers for TV, remote access, and one of the phones has a biometric fingerprint sensor for your phone security. See flash presentation.
