Digital Home Connected
The CONNECTIONS (TM): Digital Home Conference and Showcase, held last week, looked towards future challenges in Digital Living. The conference focused on the development of technologies and services for the digital home industries.
Topics included digital entertainment and multimedia applications, home networking and residential gateways, consumer mobility and device/content portability, and home management: controls, security and health. It is estimated that by 2009, approximately 16 million U.S. households will have a multiroom DVR set-top box.
Jim Bankoff, executive vice president of Programming & Products for AOL, spoke at the event about interactivity and digital entertainment.
