$30 Video Camera - Cheap and Disposable
If you live near a CVS drugstore in the U.S., you'll soon be able to buy a new one-time-use video camera for $29.95. You've seen, and probably already used one of those disposable digital or film cameras before, but this new video camera will allow you to capture 20 minutes of digital video.
Ahhh, but there are some limitations. You'll have to pay an additional $12.95 to process the 20 minutes of footage onto DVDs, and only the last clip you record can be seen on the camera screen.
Limitations aside, this cheap video camera by Pure Digital is a first, and could be great for recording some quick footage in a rush (not everyone has a camcorder) I can imagine this concept being developed further as memory gets cheaper, making longer video recording possible. I sure hope CVS has a recycling plan in-place.
