JVC Everio G Series Camcorders with built-in Hard Disk Drive

JVC has announced the new JVC Everio G Series camcorders that record straight to a built-in hard disk drive. There are four digital camcorder models in the series able to record "DVD movie quality video" including the 20GB hard disk GZ-MG20 (7 hours recording time), 30GB GZ-MG30 (10 hours)  Two other models round out the series. The GZ-MG40 (20GB) and the GZ-MG50 (30GB) that add a 1.33 Megapixel CCD to the mix for still digital photos.

You'll be able to play back videos on your TV, VCR, or DVD player, and of course transfer to a Mac or PC computer. There's a 2.5-inch flip-out LCD monitor, and a slot for optional SD memory card. How much you wonder?  GZ-MG20 ($800), GZ-MG30 ($900), GZ-MG40 ($900), GZ-MG50 ($1000)  The JVC Everio G Series camcorders will be available in August 2005.
