Tivo's TivoToGo Windows Mobile Video Service

TiVo has announced a service for Windows Mobile devices, extending its 'TiVoToGo Transfers' video service to portable media centers, pocket PC, and mobile phones that run Microsoft software. You'll be able to shift recorded TV programs to your Windows Mobile-based PVR device by companies such as iRiver, Samsung Electronics, HP, and Dell.  TiVo describes it as, "Record. Transfer. Go"

According to Microsoft, this Tivo-to-go feature could spark demand in the portable digital video market. In-Stat research firm says that video-on-mobile phones will become a $5.4 billion market by 2009. Tivo is the leading DVR - digital video recorder provider with over 3 million customers. Last week TiVo announced its TiVoToGo service for Centrino Laptop PCs.
