Morgan Freeman's ClickStar Backed by Intel
Acadamy Award winning actor Morgan Freeman is being backed by Intel Corp. on a venture to distribute movies online over broadband Internet. The aim is to release films through the Internet before they are available on DVD, to beat DVD pirates at their own game. The new company called ClickStar Inc. was created through Freeman's Revelations Entertainment company with Click Star co-founder /producer Lori McCreary and ClickStar CEO Nizar Allibhoy.
Morgan Freeman says, "We're going to bypass what the music industry had to come up with, and that's to get ahead of the whole piracy thing."

I will be able to get premium content safely and cheaply."He added that the distribution windows are no longer meaningful because of online piracy and bootleg DVD's. "DVD's are already available in China and in Russia even before they are released for sale here," Mr. Freeman said.
