Yahoo Messenger with Voice

Yahoo has officially launched its new instant messaging client with voice capabilities that allows users to talk using PC-to-PC VOIP. Yahoo enters the Voip (Voice over IP) market and aims to make free, worldwide PC-to-PC calls easy. You and the person you call both need Yahoo! Messenger with Voice, plus a microphone and speakers or headset.

"Yahoo Messenger with Voice continues to lead the marketplace by delivering a comprehensive communications suite and providing the greatest choice for consumers to stay connected to one another—whether it's through text IM, voice calling, e-mail or mobile messaging," said Yahoo Messenger director of product management Frazier Miller.

Yahoo Messenger with Voice will include free voicemail, photo-sharing and spam protection. The battle with Skype has begun!
