iTunes Phone Motorola ROKR E1, iPod Nano, iTunes 5 Announced
After the Apple rumors , it's now official. The new Apple iTunes phone is an enhanced Motorola ROKR E1 mobile phone, and will operate on the Cingular Wireless network in the US. The mobile music phone features an Apple designed iTunes client, iTunes button, and can hold 100 songs. You can download music via USB cable from a Windows PC or Mac. more | MacWorld
According to AppleInsider, Motorola has sent invitations to analysts and members of the media, inviting them to an "evening of fun" in New York City on Sept 7th, the same day the company is expected to unveil its Motorola ROKR E1 iTunes phones alongside Apple Computer.
"The device formerly known as the cell phone is ready for its next act," Motorola said in the digital invites. "Please join us for an evening of fun, music and evolution."
Steve Jobs also announced the new iPod Nano which he described as "an entirely new ground-up design, that also has 1000 songs in your pocket." 2GB and 4GB configurations for US$199 and $249 respectively.
