Google Reader

Today Google announced Google Reader at the Web 2.0 conference in San Francisco. Google Reader is a web-based feed reader to help find and subscribe to online RSS or Atom feeds. Om Malik gives his first impressions of all the "Ajax goodness" Google Reader has to offer.

Google Rumors is on the case with more than a rumor this time:

Like Gmail, Google Reader uses AJAX to help speed things up and make the system feel more like a desktop application. However the interface still needs some work (at least in FireFox). Read on for our first impression.
