100 Dollar Laptop Update

That 100 Dollar Laptop computer that you read about here before is back in the news with the unveiling of a bright green and yellow working prototype at the World Summit on the Information Society.  Nicholas Negroponte, of the MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) Media Laboratory in the United States showed off the 100 dollar laptop to UN Secretary General Kofi Annan.  Negroponte said he was planning to launch the laptop, aimed at providing a laptop for every child in the developing world, in about two years.
