Samsung H1000 WiBro Phone, Samsung M8000 WiBro PDA Unveiled

Samsung Electronics will unveil new WiBro devices including the Samsung H100 WiBro phone, and the Samsung M8000 PDA at an IT exhibition that runs alongside the APEC forum in Busan, Korea's Busan Exhibition and Convention Center (BEXCO) from Nov. 15 to 21.  WiBro (Wireless Broadband) is Korea’s homegrown high-speed portable Internet system based on mobile WiMax 802.16e technology.

Meanwhile, KT Corp., Korea's largest fixed-line telecommunications company, will start its commercial WiBro service next year. An estimated 6,500 attendees of the APEC summit will be able to experience various aspects of WiBro, including real-time video conferencing, multimedia messaging, video-on-demand, and network games through WiBro-ready handsets and notebooks provided by Samsung Electronics Co.
