Ojo Personal Video Phones have been seen before, but now the Ojo's are capable of handling VoIP (voice over ip) services. The updated Ojo Personal Video Phone enable callers to access VoIP services without the use of a separate ATA device, which was required to receive low-cost VoIP telephone services before now.
VoIP service providers can now integrate the Ojo Personal Video Phone into
their networks and offer personal video phone services without the need to
provide the consumer with a separate VoIP interface device. "This allows VoIP
service providers to rapidly expand their revenue opportunities from their
subscribers while minimizing their investment in consumer premises equipment,"
says Hal Krisbergh, Chairman and CEO of WorldGate Communications.
Ojo is the first broadband video phone to feature a friendly and intuitive display that facilitates realistic, face-to-face, personal communications experiences over DSL and cable broadband networks. Users simply connect their Ojo Personal Video Phone to their broadband networks to experience true-to- life video phone calls.
