Samsung SGH-i310 8GB Smartphone

Remember Bill Gates holding the 3 Gig Samsung SGH i300 Smartphone when he announced the release of Windows Mobile 5.0 last year?  Well, leave it to South-Korea’s Samsung Electronics to come through with the first 8 GB Smartphone. The Samsung SGH-i310 8GB hard disk phone can store up to 2,000 songs, which can be controlled by seperate dedicated music controller keys and MP3 player. The SGH-i310 is a big step up from the Samsung SGH-i300x 4 GB Music Phone.

Add a 2-megapixel camera and  Windows Mobile 5.0, and you've got a device that should make some noise when it is displayed at the upcoming Cebit 2006 in Hanover, Germany.

The Samsung SGH-i310 smartphone is slated for release in Europe during the second half of the year.
