The iRiver W10 UMPC (ultra mobile pc) has got all the "Wi" high-speed wireless connectivity options you could ask for, including WiMax 802.16, WiBro (wireless broadband), and your typical Wi-fi of course. The problem is, you'll have to wait a while to take full advantage of a WiMax, or WiBro connection unless you live in South Korea. Still, the iRiver W10 UMPC is a good example of the sort of useful devices we can expect for our ultra mobile lifestyles in the future.
iRiver w10 features: 5-inch screen, 60GB drive, WiBro, WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0, T-DMB tuner, USB On-The-Go, and support for MP3, WMA, AAC, MPEG-4 / h.264, WMV9, and DivX.
With more and more companies coming up with their own versions of the "Origami" ultra mobile pc, it's interesting to note that this iRiver W 10 actually looks more like a mini laptop than the usual tablet style UMPC. I expect we'll continue to see a wide selection of UMPC designs to choose from this year.
