FREE Music from Napster
Remember those good old days (1999), when the original Napster, founded by Shawn Fanning, offered a way to download free music with its online music-sharing service? Major Record labels and most recording Artists were not happy at the time, but now it's all love as Napster offers free music once again...legally this time. The catch is, you can't download the tracks, you can only listen as the songs are streamed to you.
The new re-launched Napster.com website allows users to search and listen to any song from Napster's 2 million-track music library for free, for up to five plays. No software required, just register with a valid e-mail address. After streaming a song five times, you can either buy the track for 99 cents, or subscribe to a monthly plan, including unlimited online listening to tracks at $9.95 a month, or $14.95 for tracks that can be transferred to a portable MP3 player.
For now Napster.com is available on all operating systems and browsers in the U.S only, with plans to show some Napster love to the rest of the world in the near future.
