Sony Vaio UX

Vaio_ux_umpc

You would think that this Sony Vaio UX would actually be Sony's UMPC device, but the Vaio UX tablet PC looks smaller than current UMPCs, and runs Windows XP Pro, not the Windows Tablet edition OS. Mobility Today revealed news of the Vaio UX and says that the mini-PC will have a 4.5 inch 1024x600 touchscreen, slide out QWERTY keyboard, 3 to 7 hours battery life, Two Cameras, Core Solo processor, Biometric sensor, 802.11a/b/g Wi-Fi, 3G, Bluetooth, Windows XP Professional, and possibly an HDMI port as well.

Let's hope the Vaio UX is the real deal, because it looks real sexy so far.

UPDATE: It's official, and the device is called the Sony Vaio UX Micro PC

The VAIO UX Micro PC puts full-size computer performance in a pocket-sized UMPC package.
