Microsoft LifeCam VX-6000 and LifeCam VX-3000 Webcams

Microsoft has released the new LifeCam VX-6000 and LifeCam VX-3000 webcams, both optimized for Windows Live Messenger. The LifeCam VX-6000 ($99.95), and the LifeCam VX-3000 ($49.95) videoconferencing webcams contain built-in microphones, can take still photographs, and have One-touch blogging which allows users to post photos directly to Microsoft's MSN Spaces.

The higher-end LifeCam VX-6000 can capture still images at 5.0 megapixels interpolated and HiDef video at 1.3 megapixels / 1280-by-1024 pixel resolution, and features a 71 degree wide angle lense which allows up to three people to join in on a chat. The LifeCam VX-3000 can capture still images at up to 1.3MP and video at 640x480.
