Samsung NV Series Digital Cameras - Samsung NV10, NV7 OPS, NV3 Announced
Samsung's Camera division have announced three new additions to their technologically advanced NV Series. The Samsung NV10 (.7-inches thick), is a 10-megapixel model that has a Schneider 3x optical zoom lens (35-105mm equivalent), a 5x digital zoom and a 2.5-inch color LCD display. The N10 is equipped with Samsung’s state-of-the-art Advanced Shake Reduction (ASR) technology. The NV10 can also record video in VGA (640x480) at 30fps. As you can see, there's a new "easy-to-use" Graphical User Interface (GUI) that allows you to toggle through menu functions using the touch pad located along the LCD on the back of the camera.
The Samsung NV10 is priced at $399.99 and will be available in the Fall of 2006.
With an awesome 7x optical zoom, optical picture stabilization, and measuring .8-inches thick, the Samsung NV7 OPS also features two types of image stabilization including Optical Picture Stabilization, and Samsung’s Advanced Shake Reduction (ASR). The 7-megapixel NV7 includes a "world-renowned" Schneider 7x optical zoom lens (equivalent to 38-270 mm in 35 mm format), and can record in VGA (640x480) at 30fps.
The Samsung NV7 costs $449.99 and will be available in Fall of 2006.
Giving digital camera users a few more multimedia options, the Samsung NV3 combines a 7-megapixel digital still camera with the ability to play music and movies on-the-go. The NV3 measures 3.7" x 2.2" x 0.7" and has a 2.5-inch, high resolution LCD display. There's only a 3x optical zoom on this one, but that's in line with most digital cameras in this class. With the included Digimax Converter software, you can convert MP3 files or watch video content on the 2.5-inch color display. The software can seamlessly convert MPEG, AVI, MOV, WMV and ASF files for viewing on the NV3. The software can also convert MP3 and WAV audio files, and you can listen to it all with the included ear buds or on the dual stereo speakers located on the camera. You can even listen to music while taking photos. The NV3 can make movies using MPEG-4, and can record in VGA (640x480) at 30fps.
The Samsung NV7 will cost $449.99 and will be available in Fall of 2006.
