Samsung GX-10 - 10.2 mega-pixel DSLR Camera Introduced

Just introduced, the new Samsung GX-10 is a 10.2 mega-pixel DSLR camera designed for advanced amateur and professional photographers. The GX-10 has a 2.5", 210,000 pixel LCD screen, and offers useful features including Optical Picture Stabilization (OPS) that minimizes blur in situations where the camera is unstable or in low-light conditions.

A Penta Prism viewfinder provides a wide field of view of 95-percent, and Samsung has incorporated an advanced dust-removal system that automatically vibrates the CCD sensor when the GX-10 is powered on. To further avoid dusty situations and other nasty stuff, the GX-10’s CCD sensor also features a special dust resistant coating, and, every button, gap and other potentially vulnerable area on the camera’s body has been fortified with special seals and silicone to protect against damage from other elements.

Strangely enough, the Samsung GX-10 Digital SLR Camera is actually the Pentax K10D - re-branded! Pricing:  $899.99 body-only, or $999.99 in a kit with an 18-55mm lens.

The Samsung GX-10 10.2 mega-pixel DSLR Camera will be available in October 2006.
