Skype For Mac 2.0 adds Free Video Calling
Remember when Skype released Skype 2.0 with Free Video Calling for Windows? Well, Skype said they would eventually let Mac users in on free video calling, and here we are. Skype has released the beta version of Skype for Mac 2.0, giving any Mac user with an Internet connection the ability to make free video calls to anyone else on Skype. What's great is, you can make the video calls to people that use Windows PCs, as well as Macintosh computer users. That's right, Skype for Mac lets you connect seamlessly across Windows and Mac operating systems for high-quality video calling regardless of platform.
"In order to make video calls Skype for Mac OS X 2.0 requires a Macintosh computer with Mac OS X v10.3.9 Panther or newer, a G4, G5, or Intel processor running at a minimum of 800 MHz, 512 MB RAM, 40 MB free disk space, and an Internet connection. In addition to the release of Skype for Mac OS X 2.0, Skype announced today the release of Skype for Mac OS X 1.5 Gold."
