MacBook Pro Notebooks get Intel Core 2 Duo Processor, and other goodies
Following the recent news that Apple's notebook sales are growing twice as fast as the overall notebook market, Apple is now giving MacBook Pro notebooks even more juice, announcing that the entire MacBook Pro line will now include the new Intel Core 2 Duo processor with 4MB of shared L2 cache for up to 39 percent faster operation. New MacBook Pro models also now have double the memory, greater storage capacity than the previous Mac Book Pro generation, and a new FireWire 800 port for connecting high-speed peripherals.
The MacBook Pro’s aluminum enclosure is just one-inch thin, available in 15- and 17-inch MacBook Pro models, and features a built-in iSight video camera for video conferencing on-the-go.
The new 15-inch MacBook Pro is shipping today, while the new 17-inch MacBook Pro will ship next week at the following price points.
