Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter Images
It's simply amazing that we can see high-resolution images of planet Mars which is 200 million miles away! NASA's Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter, part of NASA's Mars Mission, captured this image of the Victoria Crater, near the equator of Mars where the Opportunity rover is sitting at the edge of the crater. The Opportunity Rover will be rolling into Victoria Crater (half a mile wide (0.8 kilometers) and 200 feet (60 meters) deep), to conduct research and gather information on contents found in the crater.
