Sony Vaio Type G Notebook Computer called World's Lightest

Sony_vaio_g

Sony has introduced the new Vaio Type G series ultra-portable notebook with a carbon fiber-shell, and weighing only 1.98 pounds - without an optical drive. The Sony Vaio G notebook has a 12.1" XGA screen, and features Intel Core Solo 1.2GHz U1400, 80gb HDD, Intel 945GMS Express graphics, and a fingerprint reader, 802.11g, Bluetooth, PCMCIA, and multi-card reader. The Vaio Type G laptop is said to be the lightest laptop PC around, and it has and impressive 12.5 hour battery that hopefully won't explode in your lap.  Sorry, that was a low blow!

The Sony Vaio Type G notebook computer will be available in Japan in December 2nd, and is priced at 220,000 yen ($1,881)
