Samsung Ultra Music F300, Ultra Video F500 Phones, and Samsung Ultra Messaging i600 Smartphone

Samsung Electronics is covering all the bases with three new additions to the Ultra Edition phone series, offering customers a nice selection of features, and options for every user. At this week's ITU Telecom World 2006 in Hong Kong, Samsung announced the Ultra Music F300 and Ultra Video F500 phones, and the Samsung Ultra Messaging i600 - a Windows Mobile 5.0 powered Smartphone with integrated QWERTY keyboard and HSDPA support that's similar to the recently announced Samsung Blackjack phone, but ads Wifi to the mix.

The Samsung Ultra Music phone is a complete music player, equipped with digital power amp offering dedicated music user interface for navigating through the song list. Multi-format music support includes MP3, AAC, AAC+, e-AAC+,WMA. There's also a stereo FM radio and a Quick PC Sync allowing users to create a music library and play lists. Ultra Music phone has a 2.0 mega-pixel camera, long-lasting battery life and Bluetooth.

The handset design is clever, with a dual face that's both unique and stylish. On one side is a large, clear screen with a sweep touch key that makes navigation very intuitive. On the other side is the fully functional phone that can be used while listening to music.

The Samsung Ultra Video phone is a personal multimedia device and the first phone to support the DivX codec for viewing MPEG-4, H.264, WMV and AVI video files. It has a PMP function with wide 2.4” screen as well as a 2.0 mega-pixel camera. The Ultra Video phone has dual faces - one side is a phone while the other contains a large screen and intuitive controls for multimedia. It has a unique swivel design for multimedia content. The screen swivels away from the controls to adjust the viewing angle or form a stand to place the device down. It has an internal memory of 400 MBs and the memory is expandable up to 2GBs using the microSD card. With 2GBs of memory, it enables the user to view about 2 movies (each about two hours long.)

The slim Samsung Ultra Messaging smartphone is equipped with a QWERTY keypad with wheel key, and blends the feature-rich, desktop functionality of the Windows Mobile 5.0 platform with multimedia capabilities and data-driven functions such as e-mail, music and video. Ultra Messaging is the first smartphone that runs on the HSDPA network, allowing for faster data transfer speeds. It supports podcasting and RSS Feeds,and offers high-speed connectivity through WiFi and Bluetooth 2.0 EDR. There's also an MP3 player and built-in voice recognition. The Ultra Messaging is a true messaging device.
