Skype 3.0 for Windows, Skype Unlimited Calling Launched

Skype 3.0 for Windows has been officially launched with new features including Extras and Public Chats. According to Skype, Extras now allows you to play games with friends and family all over the world,  play backgammon with one of your friends or share you’re listening to on LastFM in your mood message. Skype also announced the new Skype Unlimited Calling plan, a paid annual subscription service that allows registered users to make 12 months of unlimited SkypeOut calls to any phones within the U.S. and Canada. The Skype Unlimited Calling plan costs a flat rate of $29.95 per year,but if you sign up for the new plan before January 31, 2007 you'll receive a discounted introductory rate of $14.95 per year. Skype to Skype calls will remain free.
