FinePix A820 and A900 Entry-level Camera Deals

Fujifilm's new 8-MegaPixel FinePix A820 ($179.95) and 9-MegaPixel FinePix A900 ($199.95) are a good deal for first-time digital camera buyers who are looking for an affordable, easy-to-use digital camera. Both cameras have features that you might see on more advanced models, including Fujifilm's signature Super CCD sensor technology, a 4x Optical Zoom lens and feature ISO levels of up to ISO 800. The FinePix A820 and A900 also feature a "Picture Stabilization" mode in the dial setting which automatically chooses the correct light sensitivity and best-matching shutter speed for high quality digital pictures without blur and the noise.

A new icon-based Graphic User Interface (GUI) provides a brief explanation of settings on the LCD screen, and a mode dial provides easy access to shooting modes, including Auto, Picture Stabilization and Movie mode and allows 1-touch access to other pre-programmed scene modes. The FinePix A820 and A900 also feature a "xD/SD Media Compatible slot" that accepts Fujifilm's traditional xD-Picture Cards, as well as SecureDigital (SD) media cards.

FujiFilm's QuickSnap 1000 one-time-use camera gets an upgrade with enhanced shutter speed of 1/200 second which, when combined with its 1000-speed Fujicolor film with Fujifilm’s patented 4th Color Layer Technology. It's available in Flash and Colors (red, blue, purple) versions.

The QuickSnap 1000's faster shutter speed with 1000-speed Fujicolor film minimizes the possibility of blurry pictures caused by moving subjects or camera shake, and the new flash reaches up to 17 feet.

FinePix S700 Compact SLR-Styled Digital Camera

FUJIFILM's new FinePix S700 camera is described as a compact "SLR-style" digital camera for advanced amateur photographers. This is a 7-MegaPixel camera with 10x optical zoom, 2.5" LCD plus electronic viewfinder (EVF) and ISO levels of up to ISO 1600 at full resolution.

This mobile fashion phone will be presented at the "Dress your Nokia in Giambattista Valli" party during Paris Fashion Week. The Nokia 7373 Special Edition comes in Powder Pink as well as Nokia 7373 Special Edition Black Chrome colors. This spinner-style cellphone has a QVGA resolution TFT display, 2.0 megapixel camera, and Bluetooth.

Affordable and Easy to Use PowerShot A570 IS and PowerShot A560 Digital Cameras Announced

Canon has introduced their new easy to use and affordable PowerShot A570 IS and PowerShot A560 digital cameras. The 7.1 Megapixel PowerShot A570 IS camera features a DIGIC III Image Processor, 4x optical zoom lens with a shift-type optical Image Stabilizer (IS) system and 2.5-inch LCD monitor. The 7.1 Megapixel PowerShot A560 camera also features including a DIGIC III Image Processor, 4x optical zoom lens and 2.5-inch LCD monitor, but lacks the optical image stabilizer. Both cameras use two AA batteries, SD memory cards, SDHC memory cards and MultiMediaCards for recording media.

PowerShot SD750 and PowerShot SD1000 Digital ELPH Cameras

The new 7.1 megapixel Canon PowerShot SD750 Digital ELPH and PowerShot SD1000 Digital ELPH cameras are available in dual-tone, silver and midnight matte black face and full-black back panel, or original silver. Both feature a newly enhanced three-inch LCD display and 3x (35-105mm equivalent) optical zoom lens, and DIGIC III, Canon's ultra-efficient image processor. Both cameras are also able to shoot at ISO equivalent speed ratings from 80 to 1600, and include Canon's new Face Detection AF/AE/FE technology.

Canon EOS-1D Mark III Digital SLR Camera

The Canon EOS-1D Mark III Digital SLR camera is said to be the world's fastest digital SLR camera at 10 frames per second, and it can also "fire huge motor-driven bursts of 110 Large JPEGs or 30 RAW files" as well. This advanced digital SLR has an all-new 10.1 megapixel, APS-H size CMOS sensor which is Canon's most light-sensitive and innovative sensor yet. It features an ISO range of 100 to 3200 with extensions to ISO 50 and ISO 6400. Canon also announced new accessories, including the EF-16-35mm f/2.8L II USM Lens and the Speedlite 580EX II Flash. The Canon EOS-1D Mark III digital SLR camera is scheduled to ship in the U.S this Spring.

PowerShot TX1 Digital Photo and HD Video Camera

Canon has introduced the new pocket-sized PowerShot TX1 digital photo and HD video camera that features a 7.1 Megapixel, 1/2.5-inch CCD, DIGIC III Image Processor, 10x optical zoom lens with a shift-type optical Image Stabilizer (IS) system and 1.8-inch vari-angle LCD monitor with wide viewing angle. The PowerShot TX1 captures 30 fps High Definition (HD) 720p widescreen (16:9) video, which is similar to the compact and impressive SANYO Xacti HD2 high-definition video camera. The PowerShot TX1 has the DIGIC III ultra-efficient image processor that makes for faster start up, autofocus and shutter response times, improved image quality and more efficient power consumption. Canon's new Face Detection AF/AE/FE function enables the camera to detect, lock on, and track multiple human faces in a scene, and you can also use the function for movies as well as photos.

Samsung SPH-B6700 Card Phone

Samsung's Card Phone series kicked-off in 2005 with the thin Samsung SGH-P300 and followed up with the Samsung SGH-P310 in 2006. The SPH-B6700 is the new Samsung Card Phone, measuring 8.7x5.4cm and weighing just 79g. The cool slim designed, credit card sized phone has an MP3 player, DMB TV tuner, and a 2Mpix camera. iPhone Dispute Settled

As expected, Cisco Systems Inc. and Apple Inc. have made peace and agreed to share the "iPhone" name, thereby ending Cisco's trademark-infringement lawsuit. Cisco filed the lawsuit last month after Apple announced the Apple iPhone multi-touch and multimedia device at MacWorld. The terms of the iPhone agreement were confidential, but the two companies might end up working together, and perhaps "explore opportunities for interoperability in the areas of security, and consumer and (business) communications." Cisco has been using the iPhone trademark on their own line of Linksys iPhones that use Voip - Voice over Internet Protocol to make phone calls.

Nikon COOLPIX S50 and COOLPIX S50c Digital Cameras

The new Nikon COOLPIX S50 and COOLPIX S50c 7.2 megapixels digital cameras have a 3x Zoom-Nikkor glass lens and large bright 3.0 inch LCD screen. Both cameras offer Optical VR Image Stabilization, high sensitivity up to ISO 1600, and Best Shot Selector (BSS) to insure nice sharp images. The COOLPIX S50c goes one step further adding Wi-fi capabilitiy and using Nikon’s COOLPIX CONNECT wireless transfer features for sharing pictures. Users can share photos with friends by emailing images directly from the camera through Wi-fi hotspots. For back-up, S50c you can store up to 2 gigabytes of images and movies to a secure Nikon server, letting you clear memory from the SD card.

Nikon COOLPIX P5000 Added to Nikon's Performance Series of Digital Cameras

Nikon's new COOLPIX P5000 joins the Nikon COOLPIX Performance Series of digital cameras, offering advanced functions, ease of operation, and high image quality. The 10-megapixel P5000 has a 3.5x Zoom-Nikkor glass lens, an optical viewfinder, and bright 2.5-inch LCD monitor with anti-reflection coating. The P5000 incorporates a new advanced image-processing engine which optimizes low light performance and color reproduction, and the camera also has Nikon's Optical VR Image Stabilization which compensates for camera shake.

Nikon COOLPIX L10, L11 and L12 Digital Cameras Announced

Nikon COOLPIX L10 (5.0 megapixel), COOLPIX L11 ( 6.0 megapixel) and COOLPIX L12 (7.1 megapixel) digital cameras were announced today for the "casual shooter." They all sport a 3x optical Zoom-Nikkor glass lens, and ultra-portable body style. All three cameras also feature "Nikon In-Camera Innovations" technologies including:

• In-Camera Red-Eye Fix: automatically detects and corrects red eye, a common condition that occurs in flash photography.

• Face-Priority AF: automatically finds and focuses on a persons face within the frame, providing sharp focus to produce clear, crisp portraits wherever the subject is positioned in the frame.

• D-Lighting: in playback mode, the user selects and creates a copy of images with excessive backlight or insufficient flash illumination, adding light and detail where necessary.

Nikon COOLPIX S200 and S500

Nikon has introduced the new COOLPIX S200 and COOLPIX S500 7.1 megapixel cameras with 3x Zoom-Nikkor glass lens, VR Image Stabilization technologies, and metal body design. The COOLPIX S500 has fast, advanced performance with 0.6 seconds start-up time, and shutter lag in release priority mode is just 0.005 seconds. The S200 and S500 both have a high resolution 2.5 inch LCD monitor with an anti-reflective coating for easier viewing in direct sunlight. These cameras also have a 16:9 aspect ratio option for sharing images on a high-definition television. The Coolpix S200 utilizes Electronic Vibration Reduction (e-VR) Image Stabilization which electronically overcomes camera shake for sharper results. The S500 has an even better Optical VR Image Stabilization that compensates for camera shake. The S200 up to 1000 ISO capabilities, while the S500 has up to ISO 2000 for capturing images in low-light situations.
