Canon HR10 High Definition Camcorder

The compact Canon HR10 High Definition camcorder uses Advanced Video Codec High Definition (AVCHD) terchnology to capture Hi-def video in a variety of compression rates, and records 1080 HD video to conventional 3-inch (8cm) DVD discs. The Canon HR10 HD Camcorder features a Genuine Canon 10x optical zoom lens, a Full HD 1920 x 1080 CMOS image sensor, 2.7-inch widescreen LCD screen, Canon's exclusive Instant AF focus system and Super Range Optical Image Stabilization for the best images at any focal length. The HR10 can also capture 3.1 megapixel still images. This camcorder even has a 24p Cine Mode that enables aspiring film makers to achieve a professional "film-look" by changing the camcorder's frame rate to 24p - the same frame rate as movie film. According to Canon, the cool Cine setting also allow you to change color and tonal characteristics to further achieve the look and feel of a theatrical film.

Users can play back video footage on many AVCHD compatible DVD players, including most Blu-ray disc players. The Canon HR10 HD Camcorder will be available in August and has an estimated selling price of $1199
