Sony VAIO CR Notebooks
The new Sony VAIO CR notebooks are not only thin and lightweight, they come in five "fashion-forward" colors include sangria, cosmopolitan, dove, indigo and black (matte finish) and, each one comes with VAIO branded wallpaper and optional color-coordinated carrying bag and mouse. The VAIO CR weighs in at 5.5 pounds with a standard battery, and sports a 14.1-inch widescreen display with Sony’s XBRITE-ECO LCD technology, a CD/DVD player/burner, and stereo speakers. Intel's Santa Rosa mobile platform is inside the VAIO CR laptop which is pre-installed with Windows Vista Home Premium operating system.
The VAIO CR notebook PC also comes loaded with LocationFree software for "Place-shifting" live TV, access your personal video recorder or DVD player, and view that content on your notebook via the Internet. A built-in digital camera and microphone are on board, as well as a suite of multimedia tools for easy backup of data, photos, music and videos including DVgatePlus and Click to DVD software for creating customized DVDs. The notebook has Memory Stick Duo, Memory Stick Pro , SD card and ExpressCard media slots, an i.LINK IEEE 1394 port, USB, and S-video ports.
Sony VAIO CR notebooks will be available at the end of June starting at $1,350.
