iPod Touch - The Multi-touch iPod
This is for the people who have been drooling for iPhone flava, without having to deal with cellphone service activation, or worry about unlocking the iPhone. Apple's big announcements today included the new iPod touch player, which features the same slick multi-touch user interface found on the iPhone that enables you to find and play music, videos and more on the widescreen display with your finger. The iPod touch also includes Wi-Fi wireless networking, which you can use with Apple's Safari browser to surf the web, and search the net with Google Search or Yahoo! Apple’s YouTube application is also included to let you watch all those mad YouTube videos on-the-go, as well as the new iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store, which lets users wirelessly browse, preview and buy songs and albums from iTunes. The 8 mm thin iPod touch player has a 3.5-inch widescreen display for watching movies and TV shows, as well as viewing photos and album art, features up to 22 hours of audio playback and up to five hours of video playback. The new Apple iPod touch will be available later this month, with the 8GB iPod touch model priced at $299 (US) and the 16GB iPod model costing $399 (US).
