Samsung i550 GPS Smartphone

Samsung gives a sneak-peek at its first GPS equipped smartphone, the Samsung i550, based on Symbian OS v9.2, S60 3rd Edition, Feature Pack 1.  The Samsung i550 allows users to choose from thousands of applications from the S60 applications library, and also enables access to favorite apps using dedicated hot keys on the i550. The phone's GPS navigator function features voice activated turn-by-turn guidance, and a pedestrian mode that offers specific locations and directions at walking speeds. The Samsung i550 has speedy HSDPA 3.6 Mbps connectivity for fast web browsing, and a slick trackball for easy navigation.

Sporting a candy bar style design, this smartphone has a 2.6” LCD, a 3.2 megapixel camera with video editing functionality, an FM radio, and 150MB of internal user memory, 128MB RAM. Release dates and pricing are not yet available.
