Dell Latitude XT Tablet PC Expected to Launch This Week
Dell promised that we would see the Latitude XT Tablet PC by the end of the year, and it appears that the company is ready to ship the slim and lightweight (about 4 pounds) convertible laptop in the coming days. Powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo Ultra Low Voltage 1.2Ghz chip, the Latitude XT features a 12.1-inch display which when flipped, converts the laptop to a Tablet PC. PC World writes that the Latitude XT is also expected to include high speed broadband WiMax capabilities, along with the usual Wi-fi a/b/g/n and Bluetooth support. Customers will have the option of selecting either a regular LCD or an LED display, and choose between a 32G-byte or 64G-byte solid-state storage drive. The Dell Latitude XT Tablet PC will have Windows XP Tablet PC Edition 2005, Windows Vista Business or Windows Vista Ultimate operating systems, and will ship with 1G byte of DDR2 memory, with support for up to 2G bytes of DDR2 RAM.
