Ultra-thin 31-inch AM-OLED Display by Samsung SDI
It was way back in 2005 when Samsung revealed their 40-inch OLED (organic light-emitting diode) flat screen display, and now Samsung SDI takes things to the next level by announcing a new ultra-thin (4.3 mm thick) 31-inch AM-OLED (active-matrix organic light-emitting diode) display that is said to produce brighter images and use even less power. Expect Samsung to be proudly showing off this prototype TV set at the 2008 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas in January.
Samsung SDI is also planning to mass-produce 14-inch screens in 2008, Yoo Eui-jin, head of Samsung SDI's AM-OLED team, said at a press conference introducing the display.
