LG Electronics and Netflix to Stream Movies From Internet to the TV

Netflix and LG Electronics are jointly developing a set-top box that will allow users to stream movies and other programming from the Internet directly to HDTVs. The LG networked player is planned for the second half of 2008, and will let Netflix subscribers watch movies streamed from the Netflix Web site on a HDTV. Of course you can still use Netflix Watch Now to watch movies instantly on a PC, or rent DVDs, HD DVD and Blu-ray Disc from Netflix, but having a selection of more than 6,000 movies and TV episodes delivered over the Internet to a TV should make Netflix members very happy - if the image quality and price is right.
