Ultra portable laptops are certainly becoming popular with consumers, just look at the success of the Asus Eee PC, and all the excitement surrounding Apple's MacBook Air.  Maxdata of Germany have come up with their own version of an ultra portable PC, unveiling the Maxdata Belinea s.book 1 mini laptop computer based on a VIA C7-M processor. With a 7-inch 840x480 screen, this  ultra portable notebook is available now in Germany for about $1,190. It's designed for mobile professionals, but students might want to stick with the less expensive Asus Eee PC. The Maxdata Belinea s.book 1 weighs just 1Kg and includes an 80GB hard drive, DVD writer, and XP Pro operating system.
