Product RED PCs from Dell and Microsoft
Dell and Microsoft have confirmed plans to launch a (PRODUCT) Red XPS One desktop PC, XPS M1330 and M1530 laptop computers running Microsoft Windows Vista. (PRODUCT) Red, founded by U2's Bono, and Bobby Shriver, is a campaign to contribute money to fight against AIDS in Africa, so a percentage from the sale of each Red Dell product will provide new funds for the charity. The XPS One (PRODUCT) Red desktop is priced at $1,599, $80 will go to the Red campaign and that's enough for six months of anti-AIDS treatment in Africa! Priced at $1,149, the 13.3-inch Red XPS M1330 and 15.4-inch Red XPS M1530 notebooks will bring in $50 to the Red fund. Then there's the Red 948 all-in-one printer, with easy-to-use fax, scan, copy and print functions and photo printing options. 948 printer prices start at $149, with $5 going to the Global Fund with each sale.
The new computers are expected to go on sale January 25 in the U.S.
