Smartparts Brings 32-inch SP3200, SP8PRT, and OptiPix Digital Picture Frames To PMA 2008
Smartparts introduced the the world’s largest digital picture frame at the 2008 Consumer Electronics Show, and now PMA 2008 attendees are able to see the SP3200 32-incher for themselves, along with the SP8PRT digital picture frame with built-in photo printer, and 11 new OptiPix digital picture frames. Smartparts’ advanced OptiPix Pro software is packaged with each digital frame.
Available as a free download with the purchase of an SP8PRT, Smartparts’ exclusive OptiPix Pro software is designed to help consumers effortlessly locate, optimize and transfer pictures to their frame from their computer, all in just three easy to-follow steps. Furthermore, OptiPix Pro will not alter consumers’ original photos. OptiPix Pro first creates copies which are then optimized and transferred to the frame or memory card, leaving the original, untouched photo residing on the computer. OptiPix Pro also gives users the ability to convert and transfer PowerPoint slides, PDF files, and most picture and graphic files directly to the SP8PRT, a useful feature especially for business or retail applications.
The 32 inch SP3200 ($899) is Smartparts' flagship model, and features a 1366x768 resolution,16:9, widescreen LCD panel. Along with displaying photos in high-definition, this digiframe can playback video with sound, including MPEG, MPEG1, MPEG2, MPEG4, WMA and AVI files, at their native resolutions. An RF remote control is included, with an operating range of over 100 feet, and most types of memory cards, are supported including Memory Stick, Secure Digital (SD) and Compact Flash (CF). Up to 1,500 pictures can be stores on the SP3200’s 256 MB of internal memory.
Smartparts has another "world’s first," announcing a digital picture frame with a built-in photo printer. The SP8PRT allows you to instantly create a 4x6-inch color print at the push of a button, without the need of a PC, or external printer. This digital picture frame has its own printer incorporated into the body of the frame, located behind the SP8PRT’s LCD screen! It comes with one dye sublimation (dye-sub) color cartridge loaded with ink and paper, with one dye-sub cartridge able to produce 36 4x6-inch glossy prints.
The SP8PRT features an eight inch LCD screen with 800x600 resolution, and this one can also playback video with sound, including WMA and AVI files at their native resolutions. Secure Digital (SD), Memory Stick (MS), and xD Picture Card are all supported. The SP8PRT digital photo frame with built-in printer will retail for $279.
