Sony's PictureStation DPP-FP95 and DPP-FP75 Photo Printers
The new light-weight PictureStation DPP-FP95 and DPP-FP75 photo printers are compact and ready for transport if needed. Both models are said to produce lab-quality 4 x 6-inch prints in about a minute, and feature one-touch printing and in-printer photo editing. Those prints will cost you about 29 cents each using Sony's high-quality paper, with the SVM- F40P and the F120P printer paper packs priced at $20 and $35, respectively. Sporting a 3.6-inch adjustable LCD, the DPP-FP95 photo printer will cost about $200, and the DPP-FP75 model, with its 3.5-inch screen will cost $150. Both PictureStation digital photo printers will be available in April.
Sony uses its BIONZ digital imaging processor in the higher-end DPP-FP95 printer, offering optimized performance with Sony's Cyber-shot and Alpha DSLR cameras, and creative functions for adding personal touches to your printed photos without the need for a PC or editing software. The DPP-FP95 digital photo printer also features a filter function that allows the modification of the colors in photo, and new scrapbooking templates with several different photo layouts and backgrounds. The DPP-FP95 has an HDMI output for connecting to your HDTV.
The DPP-FP75 model has basic editing functions that allow you to enlarge, reduce, rotate and adjust the color of your photos before you print. Both printers have an auto touch-up feature that corrects exposure, sharpens focus, removes red-eye and smoothes the skin tones of people in your photos. Both models are compatible with most PictBridge-enabled cameras, and are compatible with Memory Stick PRO, Memory Stick PRO Duo, SD Memory Card, MMC, and xD- Picture Cards. The DPP-FP95 printer also supports Compact Flash and Microdrive flash memory cards.
