HTC Touch Pro Smartphone
When I first saw the HTC Universal PDA a few years ago, I was convinced that HTC Corp. was on the right track in designing powerful mobile devices. The company has come through with many innovative phones since then, but the new HTC Touch Pro smartphone looks like the one many people have been waiting for.
HTC Touch Pro features the advanced TouchFLO 3D user interface as seen on the HTC Touch Diamond phone, but the Touch Pro adds a 5-row sliding QWERTY Keyboard for those who prefer a more traditional text input solution. A 2.8 inch display, built-in 3.2 megapixel camera with optical auto-focus lens, and Window Mobile 6.1 Professional OS are also on board the Touch Pro. The device is powered by a Qualcomm MSM7201A 528 MHz processor, and includes 512 MB of ROM and 288MB of RAM. The Touch Pro delivers broadband-like speeds using HSDPA 7.2 Mbps wireless connectivity, and WiFi 802.11b/g.

The HTC Touch Pro smartphone will be available across all major European, Asian and the Middle East markets in late summer. North American and Latin American versions of Touch Pro are scheduled to be released in late 2008.
