New Gateway Notebooks and Desktop PCs Introduced
Gateway is targeting students who may be looking for a new notebook or desktop PC before the start of fall classes, with a refreshed and affordable PC line-up that is available now. Prices range from $549.99 to $1,149.99.
Three notebook lines are available:
* Gateway P-Series desktop replacement with a 17-inch widescreen
* Gateway M-Series all-purpose notebook with a 15.4-inch widescreen
* Gateway T-series thin-and-light notebook with a 14.1-inch widescreen
The Gateway M-6848 comes with an Intel Core 2 Duo T5750 processor, 4GB of DDR2 SDRAM, a 250GB hard drive, 802.11a/b/g,a super Multi-format DVD-R/RW with LabelFlash technology and Vista Home Premium 64-bit with SP1. It’s Garnet Red and has an MSRP of $799.99.
The Gateway T-6836 notebook comes with an Intel Core 2 Duo T5750 processor, 4GB of DDR2 SDRAM, a 250GB hard drive, 802.11a/b/g, a super Multi-format DVD-R/RW with LabelFlash technology and Vista Home Premium 64-bit with SP1. It’s Pacific Blue and has an MSRP of $799.99.

Ideal for demanding use for school and home, the $749.99 Gateway DX4200 features an AMD Phenom™ 9500 64-bit Quad-Core processor and 6GB(1) of memory, providing the raw power needed for blazing through digital media and other complex software. ATI Radeon HD 3450 Hybrid Graphics delivers the enhanced gaming performance needed to play DirectX® 10 games.
Students on a strict budget can get the right mix of features and powerful technologies with Gateway’s new GT Series desktops. Well-suited to handle a range of uses, the new GT5692 and the GT5694 are made for the rigorous demands of student life, easily tackling both work and play. They are priced at $549.99 and $649.99 respectively.
The new GT Series PCs feature an AMD Triple-Core or Quad-Core processor, 4GB(1) of memory, ATI Radeon HD 3200 graphics and Windows Vista® Home Premium 64-bit for easily handling data intensive projects.
