WindowShop - Amazon's Amazing New Online Shopping Experience

Amazon has created a new way to help customers immerse themselves as they shop for multimedia products like video games, music, and books with WindowShop.  The new storefront features Amazon's most popular digital products in those categories, which are presented in a way that makes for a fantastic multimedia and entertainment experience, with video and audio previews that make online shopping or checking out new stuff fun.  Amazon WindowShop lets you easily scroll through different products using your arrow keys, and you can zoom in on individual products by hitting the spacebar.

Now if you think Amazon WindowShop sounds a bit like Cooliris, a plug-in that helps transform your browser into "a lightning fast, cinematic way to discover the Web," you would be right.

Both are amazing to use!

BlackBerry Bold, iPhone 3G, and BlackBerry Storm Compared in Video

The new BlackBerry Storm touch-phone from Verizon Wireless is expected to be released in the U.S. in November (Nov. 4th, 9th, or 16th?) so now is the time to check out some comparisons with a few other hot smartphones, specifically the AT&T's BlackBerry Bold and Apple's iPhone 3G. HP Mini 1000 Netbook Spotted

HP's first attempt at a netbook came in the form of its HP 2133 Mini-Note PC, but the company is now making room for the new HP Mini 1000 netbook which has been spotted on HP's online shopping store with a starting price of $399. The new 10-inch ultraportable netbook weighs about 2.25 pounds, and is less than 1-inch thin, and it's expected to have an Intel Atom processor. The HP Mini 1000 is slim, light, and inexpensive, but that's all we know for sure at this point.   

As opposed to the metallic casing of the HP 2133 mini-not PC, it looks like HP has gone with an all black design on the new HP Mini 1000 netbook.

Portege M750 Tablet PC, Convertible Notebook Launched

Toshiba has updated last year's award-winning Portege M700 Tablet PC with its new 10th generation Portégé M750 Tablet PC.  The new convertible notebook features a 12.1-inch touch screen LED backlit display (1280 x 800 pixels resolution) which automatically detects whether you use a digital pen or your finger.

Toshiba has two versions of the Portege M750, the Portege M750-S7201 with a Core 2 Duo P8400 2.26GHz processor, and the Portege M750-S7202 with the Core 2 Duo P8600 2.4GHz processor. Each of these models feature Windows Vista Business OS, 2GB of DDR2 memory, a 160GB hard drive, DVD burner, web camera, fingerprint reader, 802.11a/g/n, and Bluetooth wireless. A gigabit ethernet port, 2 USB ports, a PC card slot, 7-in-1 media card reader, firewire port, and VGA output are also incorporated. These Tablet PCs provide an estimated 4.63 hours of operation on a single battery charge. The Portege M750-S7201 and M750-S7202 are priced at $1,699 and $1,799 respectively.

Fallout 3 Game Midnight Launch Events at GameStop Tonight

Tonight GameStop will host midnight release events for Bethesda Softworks' Fallout 3 game at about 1,600 of stores nationwide. The Fallout 3 themed events kick off at 10 p.m., and at 12:01 a.m. Fallout 3 for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC will be available for those who just can't wait to buy the videogame.

Fallout 3 offers players new modern HD graphics and innovative ways to view the world in 1st or 3rd person. New features include a new combat V.A.T.S. system with the ability to pause time and target specific body parts for attack, as well as the ability to customize your character with the SPECIAL Character System and take on the world outside the Vault 101.

Inspiron Mini 12 Laptop PC Officially Announced by Dell

Dell has announced a new addition to its slim and stylish Mini Inspiron line.  Described as ideal for teens, tweens, travelers and “Tweeters” who surf the Web, the new Dell Inspiron Mini 12 laptop PC is not as small as some ultra portable netbooks out there, but it is small enough to take just about anywhere. It's a compact laptop with a 12.1-inch WXGA display that lets you blog, upload photos, and entertain yourself with videos, music and games on-the-go. The Dell Mini 12 will first be available in Japan, but Dell promises that it will launch online globally by late November with configurations starting under $600.

Google Phone, or T-Mobile G1 Android by HTC gets BodyGuardz Protection

BodyGuardz has launched its protective solution for the new T-Mobile G1 phone, described as "a thin layer of skin that is optically clear and adheres directly to the mobile device, protecting the exterior from dents, scratches and daily wear and tear." In other words, BodyGuardz' transparent Google phone protection won't hide the device, and won't interfere with G1's operations or functions like some covers and cases would.

Priced at $24.95, the BodyGuardz for T-Mobile G1 package includes two custom-fit protective skins, the BodyGuardz application solution, squeegee card and application instructions.

Samsung Epix Smartphone from AT&T

AT&T recently announced the availability of the Samsung Epix smartphone which sports an advanced touch screen, an optical mouse, a full QWERTY keyboard, and 2.5-inch TFT color display.  Running on AT&T's 3G network and powered by Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional OS, the Samsung Epix is available through select AT&T retail locations or online for $199.99 with a two-year service agreement and after a mail-in rebate.

Additional Samsung Epix phone features include Wi-Fi, built-in aGPS, stereo Bluetooth with stereo headset support, a 2.0 megapixel camera with video-capture capabilities, Video Share, Windows Media Player 10 Mobile, and microSD memory card slot for external storage of up to 32GB of data.

New LCD Monitors from Mitsubishi

Mitsubishi Digital Electronics has introduced the new LDT521V, LDT651P and LDT651L LCD Monitors designed for the kind of high-impact visual displays used in conference rooms, digital signage environments, and other professional, industrial and commercial display venues. These large LCD monitors follow up Mitsubishi's smaller LDT461V Full HD 46-Inch digital signage monitor.
