Gateway FX Series Gaming PCs Powered by New Intel Core i7 Processors

Gateway has added Intel's new super-fast Core i7 processors and X58 Express chipset to two new FX Series desktop PCs. Starting at $1,249.99, the Gateway FX6800-01e desktop is ready for extreme gaming with an Intel Core i7-920 processor, an ATI Radeon HD4850 video card, 3GB of DDR3 triple channel memory and high definition audio taking care of business.

The Gateway FX6800-05 ($2.999.99) offers more power with an Intel Core i7-940 processor, ATI Radeon HD4870 X2 graphics card, and 6GB of DDR3 memory. This one boasts a 1TB hard drive, and an 80GB Intel High Performance Solid State Drive.

Doro HandleEasy Phones for Baby Boomers and Active Seniors

As we saw with the ClarityLife C900 Mobile Phone for Seniors, there is a demand for easy-to-use, ergonomic mobile handsets with easy-to-view display screens and keypads. Here are a few more, this time from a Swedish company called Doro, who have introduced the HandleEasy 330gsm and the HandleEasy 326i gsm cellphones designed for "baby boomers and active seniors."

The palm-sized Doro HandleEasy 330gsm features a high-contrast color screen, text messaging, FM radio, a variety of ringers, a speakerphone, and easy access to phone directories stored on the user’s SIM card. Doro HandleEasy 326i gsm features a conveniently larger keypad, four prominently positioned speed-dial buttons, a phone directory, a speakerphone, and a special coating that creates an easy-grip surface on the entire phone.

For now the Doro HandleEasy 330gsm and HandleEasy 326i gsm cellphones are only available at Centennial Wireless retail stores in six states, but I have a feeling we'll be seeing them in more places soon.

Dell's Studio XPS Desktop features the New Core i7 Processor from Intel

Starting at $949 (without monitor) the Dell Studio XPS desktop now features the new ultra-fast Intel Core i7 processor, which offers faster video editing and encoding, as well as fast image rendering, photo retouching and editing. The Studio XPS is a space-saving compact mini-tower desktop (14.2-inches x 6.7-inches x 17.1-inches) that supports up to 1TB of hard drive space.  It features 64-bit versions of Windows Vista, and up to 12GB tri-channel DDR3 memory, and includes eight USB 2.0, two IEEE 1394, microphone/line in, built- in 7.1 audio support, S/PDIF, eSata, and HDMI ports.

 

 

LG PRADA Link Bluetooth Watch goes with the new PRADA Phone

The second edition of the fashionable PRADA phone by LG is being launched in Europe next week with a new companion called the PRADA Link, an elegantly designed digital timepiece that doubles as a Bluetooth device that can remotely monitor phone calls and read full SMS text messages from thew Prada phone, so you won't have to take it out of your Prada, or Gucci bag. You've gotta love that.

The new PRADA Phone by LG and the PRADA Link are sold separately, priced at 600 Euros (about $750) and 299 Euros ($375) respectively, and are available through major mobile dealerships in the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, and other countries in Europe.

The new PRADA phone with touch-screen boasts LG’s latest active flash UI technology and haptic feedback. The 3G HSDPA phone also features an advanced 5 megapixel camera with slow motion video recording and DivX playback, as well as Wi-Fi, full HTML browser, and video calling capabilities.

VIZIO's New 55" LCD HDTV, and more Digital Entertainment Products Announced

VIZIO has announced a few new digital entertainment products for 2009, including the new 55" XVT Series 120Hz 1080p LCD HDTV with "Smooth Motion Video Technology," a new High Definition Sound Bar and Wireless Subwoofer, three new small screen LCD HDTV models, and a 26" Multimedia Monitor with Full HD+ resolution.

ABnote-LAKS Smart Watch Lets You Make Contactless Payments

ABnote has begun distributing the LAKS Smart Transaction Watch in the United States and Canada.  The watch makes it possible to make a contactless payments by simply waving it to complete a transaction. As you see in the photo, the watch features a slide in system for a SIM sized Smart Card, and the watch can also be issued with a traditional companion card linked to the existing cardholder account, so you can have the option of using either the watch or card for payment. The ABnote-LAKS Smart Watch can also be used for everyday travel at compatible Mass Transit systems in the near future. The watch looks pretty bland here, but it can be customized with a variety of colors and graphics, and corporate branding is also possible.

ASUS ROG CG6190 Gaming PC has Intel Core i7 Processor

Extreme PC gamers take note, Intel’s latest generation Core i7 processor and X58 chipset now powers the new ASUS ROG CG6190 Gaming PC, and a unique exterior design inspired by ancient and modern armor makes it look ready for battle. The ASUS ROG CG6190 is said to deliver 52% faster processing speed in 3D gaming applications compared to the previous generation Quad Core platform, and the system also features triple channel DDR3 1333 memory up to 12GB, support for NVIDIA 3-way SLI and ATI CrossFireX graphics, and up to 4 TB SATAII Hard Drive.  A built-in SupremeFX X-Fi audio card, and biometric fingerprint scanner are also included.

MOTO VE66 Phone features 5-megapixel Camera, MP3 Player, and Widgets

Motorola is trying to get back in the game after years of success with RAZR cellphones by introducing the new MOTO VE66 cameraphone with enhanced CrystalTalk audio technology, and widgets. The 5-megapixel camera phone and MP3 player boasts the first widgets integration on a Motorola mobile device, allowing you to easily access sports scores, stock tickers or RSS feeds on-the-go. This is aided by the FastScroll one-touch navigation wheel.

The slider-style MOTO VE66 phone has dedicated digital camera features like auto focus, LED flash, image stabilization, red eye reduction, and automatic color saturation. The 3G phone also includes Wi-Fi connectivity, and an integrated FM radio. Release details and pricing were not announced.

TouchSmart tx2 Convertible Multi-touch Notebook PC from HP

HP has added the same slick multi-touch technology found on the HP TouchSmart desktop PC to its new TouchSmart tx2 notebook PC. Using enhanced HP MediaSmart digital entertainment software and your finger-tips, the tx2 will allow you to select, organize and manipulate photos, music, video and web content by touching the screen. With capacitive multi-touch technology, the HP TouchSmart tx2 recognizes simultaneous input from more than one finger, so like an iPhone, you can pinch, rotate, press and drag, and single and double tap the screen to manipulate digital content.

LG Incite Phone Comes to AT&T

AT&T's new LG Incite smartphone with Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional, Microsoft Office Mobile and Microsoft ActiveSync 4.5 features a 3-inch Touch Screen, aGPS, Bluetooth 2.0, Wi-Fi, and fast 3G connectivity. Available in the U.S. exclusively to AT&T customers, the LG Incite phone offers a few ways to use its on-screen virtual keyboard with both a full QWERTY keyboard in landscape mode, and a 20-key keyboard in portrait view. The virtual keyboards have haptic keys that give you vibration feedback as you tap the screen. The phone also includes Windows Media Player 10 for mobile entertainment, a 3.0 megapixel camera and camcorder, and a microSD memory port that supports cards up to 16GB.
