SAMSUNG SL-Series Digital Camera Line Adds Four New Models

Samsung extended its user-friendly SL-Series point n' shoot digital cameras with four new models, the 12.2 mega-pixel SL820 and SL620, and the 10 mega-pixel SL202 and SL30 digital cameras. The SL820 and SL620 both feature a 28mm wide angle lens with 5x optical zoom, and the SL820 boasts high definition 720P video recording (plus HDMI out), while the SL620 captures VGA video only. The SL202 and SL30 have a Samsung lens with a 3x optical zoom, and they record high quality MJPEG video at 30fps in VGA resolution.

All of the new Samsung SL-Series cameras are scheduled to be released in March 2009, with the SL820 priced at $279.99, the SL620 model at $199.99, the SL202 costing $149.99, and the entry-level SL30 priced at $99.99.

3DFusion's Broadcast Ready, Glasses Free 3DFMax 3D Display Platform

Inspiron Mini 10 Mini-notebook Launched by Dell

These colorful Inspiron Mini 10 laptops from Dell will be available to anyone looking for a compact, easy to carry notebook in the U.S. and other countries beginning February 26, but Dell is specifically is aiming this $399 mini 10 model at "kids, tweens, teens, travelers and "tweeters" chatting, blogging, streaming content, sharing photos, watching videos and more."

Advance orders for the Dell Mini 10 have already begun on QVC. For those on the move, Inspiron Mini notebooks are a perfect fit with Dell's new Wasabi handheld wireless printer.

Gateway Introduces Compact and Lightweight TC Series Notebook PCs

Gateway has introduced its new TC Series notebook PCs which feature a 14-inch Ultrabright HD widescreen display with 16:9 aspect ratio, 1366x768 resolution, and 8ms response time. Starting at $649.99, the lightweight 5.3-pound TC7306u (black ) and TC7307u (burgundy) notebooks include Intel Pentium Dual-Core Mobile T4200 processors (2.00 GHz, 1MB L2 cache, 800 MHz FSB), 4GB of Dual Channel DDR2 667MHz Memory and Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500M. LG 3G LG-X120 Netbook

Showcased at the 2009 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain, LG Electronics's new LG-X120 netbook has 3G HSPA Internet connectivity built-in to its compact, portable design. No need for a 3G USB dongle here to connect any time or anywhere if you have 3G service. The design shows a soft textured, white exterior with lime or pink detailing, with the unit weighing in at just 1.2kg. Packing a 160GB hard drive, the LG-X120 netbook's offers 3.5 hours battery life with a 3 cell battery or 7 hours with a 6 cell battery. It has a 1.3 megapixel webcam for video chatting or conferencing, and ships with LG's You-Cam photo software. 

Dual-sliding Pantech Matrix Pro Phone coming to AT&T

If you remember the first AT&T Pantech Duo slider phone with QWERTY keyboard, you probably know that the device had a lot of promise, but didn't quite get it right. Well here we have the new Pantech Matrix Pro phone which will be available exclusively from AT&T starting Feb. 24 for $179.99 after a two-year service agreement and a $50 mail-in rebate. The Matrix Pro's updated features include a new compact design, 2.4 inch QVGA screen, aGPS for turn-by-turn navigation, a chat-style view of text messages, tri-band 3G global HSDPA coverage, 2 megapixel camera with 4x digital zoom (lame!), Windows Mobile 6.1, 256 MB ROM and 128 MB RAM with MicroSD expandable memory, and AT&T Video Share calling.

Nintendo DSi Portable Gaming System to be Released this Spring

An April 5, 2009 release date has been set for the next-generation Nintendo DSi portable gaming system, which will be available in blue and black colors for $169.99. Built into the system are the Nintendo DSi Camera, Nintendo DSi Sound and Nintendo DSi Shop. In fact there are two interactive digital cameras, one on the exterior and one located inside when the device is flipped open. The cameras feature 10 different interactive “lenses” which you can use to manipulate your photos, and then share the photos with friends. Another new feature, the Nintendo DSi Sound application, is both an interactive voice recorder and music player that allows you to play with music while you listen to it. For instance, you can manipulate audio filters, control the pitch and speed of recorded voice or music files, and change the tempo of a song. The device also has a mic located between the two screens, a stereo headphone output, and SD card slot for adding music. Expect game developers to take advantage of the interactive abilities Nintendo DSi in forthcoming games for the device.

Nokia N97 Phone to be released in June 2009?

Those who were hoping for the Nokia n97 phone to be released on the rumored March 31st date will have to wait a little longer. Nokia reps at the 2009 Mobile World Congress let it slip out that the Nokia N97 mobile "multimedia computer" is expected to ship in June 2009. Sony's Intelligent Cyber-shot DSC-T900, DSC-T90, DSC-W290, DSC-W230 and DSC-H20 Digital Cameras

Sony has introduced five new smart digital cameras that make it easier to take great pictures without changing settings using a new "intellegent mode."  Each model features Carl Zeiss optics, Optical SteadyShot, and Smile Shutter technology. The W290, H20, T90 and T900 digital cameras also feature wide and full-screen 720p movie recording at 30 frames per second.

The new Cybershots can be pre-ordered in March at www.sonystyle.com, and will hit retail sores in April.

• The T900 camera will be available in silver, black, red and bronze for about $380.
• The T90 model will be available in silver, black, pink, blue and brown for about $300.
• The W290 model will be available in silver, black, blue and bronze for about $250.

Microsoft Announces Windows Mobile 6.5, Windows Phones With Marketplace, and My Phone Services

At the 2009 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Microsoft Corp. CEO Steve Ballmer was joined by key mobile partners including HTC, LG and Orange to announce next generation Windows phones which will be based on Microsoft's new Windows Mobile 6.5 OS. Two new services were also announced for Windows phones: My Phone, which lets users sync text messages, photos, video, contacts and more to the Web, and Windows Marketplace for Mobile, which is basically Microsoft's new mobile Apps store where direct-to-phone mobile applications can be accessed from a Windows Phone, and the Web. The new Windows phones should be available in the second half of 2009.
