Panasonic's 85-inch Full HD 1080p Plasma Display

Panasonic has added a new 85-inch Full HD 1080p Plasma display to its pro digital signage line-up which already includes the $50,000 Panasonic 103-inch 1080p Full HD Plasma Display. As you can see in this photo, the Panasonic 85-inch display has a screen size equivalent to four 42-inch panels, and it is just 99 mm thick.  Making its debut at InfoComm 09 from June 17 to 19 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, the huge display features Panasonic's NeoPDP energy-efficient, double luminance technology, and a contrast ratio of 40,000:14 (max. 2,000,000:15) which is said to be the world's highest to date. The 85-inch plasma display will be available to businesses and professionals in Japan and the U.S. this fall.
