Samsung SL720 and SL502 SL-Series Digital Cameras
Samsung Electronics added the compact 12.2 mega-pixels SL720 and SL502 to its easy-to-use SL-Series line of digital cameras. The Samsung SL720 is priced at $229.99, and it features a 3.0 inch LCD, 5x optical zoom, 28mm wide-angle lens, and 720p high-definition video recording. The
Samsung SL502 is priced at $149.99 and features a 2.7
inch LCD, 5x optical zoom 35mm lens, and high-quality MJPEG video recording at 640x480 resolution. The SL720 also offers Dual Image
Stabilization, which combines both optical and digital stabilization
technology, while the SL502 model settles for basic Digital Image Stabilization.
The Samsung SL720 and SL502 will drop in August with "Smart" features like Samsung's Smart Album photo organizer, and Samsung’s Smart Auto shooting mode setting which automatically chooses from one of the cameras’ 11 scene modes to produce the best possible image. The SL720 and SL502 are also the first cameras in Samsung’s SL-Series to feature Face Recognition technology which automatically stores up to 20 preferred faces to the cameras’ internal memory, and Samsung’s Perfect Portrait System which includes Face Detection, Smile Shot, Blink Detection and Samsung’s Beauty Shot.
