Sony VAIO W Series Mini Notebooks / Netbooks

VAIO W SERIES netbook

Sony introduced its new ultra-portable netbook / mini notebook PC called the VAIO W, which is available in berry pink, sugar white and cocoa brown colors. Priced at $500, the Sony W Series has a 10.1-inch 1366 x 768 resolution LED backlit display, and it features an isolated keyboard with "springy and responsive keys."

The device comes pre-installed with Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition operating system, and includes an Intel 1.66GHz Processor, a 160GB hard drive, 1 GB of RAM, a built-in webcam and microphone, two USB ports, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

Pre-orders for the Sony VAIO W Series Mini Notebooks have begun ahead of the official release next month at www.sonystyle.com/pr/w.

VAIO W SERIES mini notebooks The model comes with VAIO Media plus Multimedia Streaming software, a media sharing application that lets you wirelessly stream content across DLNA(R)-enabled devices throughout your home network. Stream video, music and pictures from your W Series to your compatible primary PC or PLAYSTATION(R)3 and vice-versa and enjoy your content anywhere in the home including on your big-screen TV.
