Sony's New Ultra-thin KDL-52XBR10 and KDL-46XBR10 BRAVIA LCD HDTVs with LED Backlight and 1080p Wireless HD
Sony unveiled its new XBR10 line of ultra-thin BRAVIA LCD HDTVs featuring an advanced edge-lit LED backlight, 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio, Sony's Motionflow 240Hz technology, and 1080p Wireless high definition. According to Sony, the KDL-52XBR10 and KDL-46XBR10 Bravia models can deliver full 1080p wireless transmission of high definition signals from a separate media box to a receiver embedded in the TV.
Each of these HDTVs also have an Ethernet connection which allow them to directly access Sony BRAVIA Internet Video content using an existing broadband network. Online diigital content includes free and premium movies, TV shows, sports, music, as well as Amazon Video on Demand, YouTube, Slacker Internet Radio, and Netflix this Fall. You also get Bravia Internet Widgets, powered by the Yahoo! Widget Engine with weather reports, stock information, financial news, Twitter, and more.
These XBR10 models include a USB input for displaying digital photos or playing digital video and music files from a USB storage device, and they are "Digital Living Network Alliance" compliant, enabling easy access to digital photos, music, and video stored on a PC or other DLNA server using the XMB interface and the TV's remote control.
Get ready to dish out some serious cash for these cutting-edge HDTVs, as Sony will price the 52" KDL-52XBR10 at an setimated $5000 and 46" KDL-46XBR10 at about $4500 when they hit retail this October.
