Michael Dell Mini 5 Android Slate Tablet Video

As part of Dell's CES 2010 product announcement, we had a quick look at the Dell Mini 5 slate tablet device, but who better to offer a little hands-on demo video of the Mini 5 than CEO Michael Dell himself? It was all "caught on tape" at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland by Techcrunch. Perhaps Dell wanted us all to know that the Apple iPad should not be the only slate tablet to get everyone's attention this year, as Dell's touch screen device is set to be released in a few months.

The Dell Mini 5 runs the Google Android 1.6 OS, and it features a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, a 5 megapixel camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and 3G HSDPA connectivity. It's expected to sell for about $1,098 (what?) before carrier subsidy, or half the cost of an Apple iPad tablet. It also looks like it's half the size of the iPad, which makes it a lot easier to carry around.
